People of Determination Workshops

Abu Dhabi is a tourism destination that is welcoming of all groups. DCT Abu Dhabi approved the policy framework for inclusive tourism in 2019, which adopts six initiatives aiming to upgrade the touristic and recreational experience for everyone, visitors, citizens and residents alike – including People of Determination, the elderly, and those with temporary special needs.

This framework seeks to encourage the participation of People of Determination and include them in touristic experiences by making Abu Dhabi’s tourism products and services accessible to all. The framework aligns with Abu Dhabi’s Strategy for People of Determination (2020-2024), which focusses on attending to the needs of People of Determination in all areas.

DCT Abu Dhabi collaborates with Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination to offer a series of virtual workshops that provides frontline employees at attractions, tourist establishments and hotels and resorts with the knowledge and skills to understand the needs of People of Determination and guarantee their ability to fully participate in and easily access tourism products, services and facilities, therefore upgrading their experience in Abu Dhabi.
